Begin Your Portrait Journey
I understand how important a portrait can be, so I take great care in not only in creating your original artwork, but also in using professional high quality artist materials. Each commission comes complete with a Certificate of Authenticity and an Art Care Guide.
Please see below for information on sizing, prices and how to place your order. To ensure a clear and smooth process, I kindly ask that you read the terms and conditions before confirming your commission.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out via my contact form I will be more than glad to help.
Select Your Photo
Choose a clear photo that captures your pet’s personality and the pose that you want captured —something that makes you smile. High-quality, natural-light images are best for capturing fine details and true expression. If you don’t have a perfect shot, don’t worry—I can often combine elements from multiple photos into one portrait (especially helpful if your pets aren't pictured together).
Older photos are welcome too, especially for memorial portraits—I understand that new ones aren’t always possible.
Please avoid images with heavy filters or digital edits. I can only paint what I can clearly see, so features like ear position, posture, or facial expression must be visible in your reference.
Note: You must own the photo or have permission from the photographer for me to use it.
Pick your size and medium
Select the medium that suits your vision:
Graphite: Black and white on paper (requires framing not included).
Acrylic or Oil: Color on stretched canvas, usually with a gallery edge and ready to hang.
Think about where you’ll display your portrait—this will help you pick the right size. Keep in mind graphite portraits need framing, which adds to the final dimensions. Acrylic and oil paintings come ready to hang. Oil portraits take longer to complete due to drying times between layers.
Shipping costs are additional.
Adding a second pet to the same portrait is 50% extra. For three or more, please contact me for a custom quote. There’s a maximum number of subjects allowed per size to keep the details sharp and balanced.
Place your order
To place your order, please use the submission form at the end of this page to send your photos along with your chosen medium and size. A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your spot. Once I receive your deposit, I’ll confirm your order and provide an estimated start date. I’ll also check in with you before beginning your portrait.
The time it takes to complete a portrait varies depending on size, medium, and number of subjects, but typically ranges from 2 to 6 weeks (longer for oil). When your portrait is finished, I will email you a watermarked proof for your approval. Small adjustments can be made at this stage if necessary.
Full payment is due once you approve the proof, and your portrait will then be carefully packaged for pickup or shipping.

Oil Portraits
Oil portraits offer depth, richness, and a luminous finish that builds beautifully in layers. Painted on a 100% cotton canvas primed with two coats of professional acrylic gesso, each piece is mounted on a 1.5-inch deep support frame with finished gallery edges and hanging hardware included. Due to the nature of oil paint, these portraits require longer drying times between layers and before delivery—but the result is a timeless, heirloom-quality piece full of soul and subtle detail.
